Chemung Cemetery Listing, June 1935,
Town of Chemung, Chemung County, NY

A list of 11 cemeteries compiled in June 1935 by C.W. Northrop. The booklet was located at the Tioga Point Museum in Athens, PA by Linda P. Doane, February 2017.
The booklet does not cover all the cemeteries in the Town of Chemung. But there are listings for some cemeteries that have been lost for a very long time!
(I would like to have separated the cemeteries by location but I guess I'm not computer savy enough to know how to separate individual files from pdf, sorry!)
PLEASE NOTE:
If you look at the index there are eleven (11) cemeteries listed.  I have linked each of the eleven cemeteries to their corresponding cemetery page on this website.  I will also attach a pdf  file of the booklet to each cemetery page. This booklet listing may vary from what has been previously known to us, so check the files carefully and for the cemeteries that have not had listings, this is a real treat to historians!  Happy Hunting for your ancestors!

1.  Chemung Cemetery is the Chemung Village Cemetery.

2.  Riverside Cemetery, remains the same Riverside Cemetery

3.  Dry Brook Cemetery, This is a new listing until this time we did not have one!  Dry Brook Cemetery

4.  Dutchtown Cemetery, remains the same Dutchtown Cemetery

5.  Pioneer Cemetery. We know it today as Wells or Hilltop Cemetery on Wilawana Rd.

6.  Price Family Cemetery, Putnam Hill - Known as Harvey & Rebecca Price Cemetery, Price        #2 Cemetery or Simcoe Cemetery.

7.  Old Cemetery. We know it today as Drake Cemetery.

Wynkoop/DryBrook Cemetery, until now the list has been lost!
