Lowman Burial Plot

Information on this burial plot is very sketchy. Even though the name is Lowman Burial Plot, it is located in the Town of Chemung. In this case, Lowman refers to the family name and it is actually situated in the hamlet of Lowman, the Town of Chemung side of Baldwin Creek. We can surmise it was a very old family plot and the description of the location is clear.  Perhaps someday we can learn more about this site. Below is a description provided by former historian, Joan Shafer.
Lowman Burial Plot
Lowman Farm Cemetery, presumed to be in the area near Lowman Rd and County Rt 60, Town of Chemung.  (I spoke with Mr. Jason Knapp on whose property this burial site is indicated. He had no knowledge of it, and his family resided in the area since 1930.  His wife, Mary, was the former Town Historian, and she had not mentioned it’s existence.- Joan Shafer).
